Your Tasks

  • Monitoring and adopting current developments and implementing statutory regulations, as well as drafting and implementing Group-wide guidelines for the internal control system (ICS), compliance and risk management
  • Supporting the implementation of ICS and compliance-related measures (drafting internal guidelines and regulations, providing training for employees of the non-profit housing associations, and acting as the contact for senior managers in connection with the ICS and compliance)
  • Regular evaluation of ICS and compliance-related activities and measures at the associations
  • Providing the non-profit housing associations with support on strategic risk management
  • Assessing and enhancing risk management activities and tools
  • Reporting on assessment and support measures
  • Contact for questions related to the ICS, compliance and risk management
  • Supporting the Internal Audit department’s general auditing activities

Your Profile

  • Degree in law and/or economics/business
  • Minimum of three years’ relevant professional experience in internal auditing, compliance or risk management
  • Project and process management experience
  • Knowledge of the Austrian Wohnungsgemeinnützigkeitsgesetz (Non-profit Housing Act) an advantage
  • Confident when working with data and figures, analytical mindset
  • Precise and conscientious approach, and able to work independently
  • Excellent spoken and written German language skills
  • Flexible and dedicated
  • Willingness to travel throughout Austria

According to the regulations of the Equal Treatment Act, we state the minimum wage based on the Collective Agreement, which is in a range of € 3 358,10 gross per month. Of course, a higher salary is commensurate with the professional experience and qualification of the chosen candidate. The remuneration package is market-compliant.

 

In line with its social responsibilities, Wiener Städtische Versicherungsverein has been involved in non-profit housing for decades now. Wiener Städtische Versicherungsverein’s non-profit housing associations operate across Austria, and the ten associations have built and now manage a combined total of 140,000 apartments. The housing associations are committed to upholding the basic principles of non-profit housing, and to promoting the sustainable development of housing construction.

This position is a highly varied role with a high degree of autonomy in a stable and successful industry environment. The post enables the jobholder to gain in-depth insights into the processes and organisational set-up of Wiener Städtische Versicherungsverein’s non-profit housing associations. There are also opportunities to attend personal and professional training and development courses. The position involves business trips including stays of several days inside Austria. However, the working hours are generally flexible.
